guerrilla marketing social media propaganda posters for the modern workplace

We’ve all had coworkers who tweet boring tweets on twitter or press reply all when they really shouldn’t. These guerrilla marketing and social media propaganda posters created by creative studio have created a guerrilla marketing experiment to change that … and most likely the next conversation around your watercooler.

It seems the thoughts are pretty universal and extend way beyond the world of advertising and production. (When your mom asks you whether she should have an account on “the Twitter” you know the new media has crept far outside of Cupertino, Saratoga and Palo Alto.)

Vintage Tokyo Guerrilla Marketing Manners Posters

Vintage Tokyo Guerrilla Marketing Manners Posters

Guerrilla Marketers looking for inspiration need to look no further than these vintage Tokyo posters meant to influence manners. With posters about Superman stepping in gum to promote not leaving your gum on the ground, and santa claus promoting not passing out drunk in the train after christmas – what’s not to love??

Our only question is, did they really get the licensing rights to all of these manners characters or are these some true guerrilla marketing posters we are viewing?

District 9 Movie Guerrilla Marketing Campaign Recap

District 9 Movie Guerrilla Marketing Campaign Recap

One of the favorite guerrilla marketing campaigns I’ve seen in LA has been for the movie District 9. I remember seeing the weird “alien wanted” posters, billboards, bus wraps and bus benches and being like “huh?”, only to find the answer eventually revealed to me in a movie trailer poster (I knew it all along). Still nonetheless, it was cool seeing the alien posters and imagining that we lived in a world of aliens, if only for a moment…

Having watched the trailer a few months ago, after having been sent the link by email, twice, my colleagues and myself were quite taken aback, unable to decide whether this was a hoax, or a mockumentary on the xenophobic violence which occurred around the country about a year ago.

Apparently it is neither. District 9 is a movie filmed in Johannesburg about a world where humans and non-humans have lived in the same city separated by barriers for years. It is starting on the 14th of August 2009, in just over 2 weeks.

If you stay on the site for just a little too long, you could be fooled into believing that District 9 actually exists, that it is all very real and that humans are not always as great as they make themselves out to be.
