Testicular Cancer Awareness Guerrilla Marketing Campaign Places Hands In “Convenient” Places

It is said that approximately 380 people die from testicular cancer each year. Now that might not seem that big when you first think about it, but when you think about how many potential kids that kills, and their potential kids, and THEIR potential kids, well it’s starts to stack up!

…but in all seriousness, it also affects Fathers, Brothers and the Mothers, Wives and loved ones of those who are affected by this unfortunate cancer. To raise awareness, guerrilla marketing hands were placed in places that a males crotch might be placed next to – such as car steering wheels and tables. The guerrilla marketing testicular cancer hands that are intentionally placed in inconvenient spots can’t be missed and the whole “testicular” topic is memoriable – great stuff.

Boy I hope I never have testicular cancer. I imagine it is nothing like the South Park episode, which still doesn’t seem that fun at all.

Here’s another reason to love Playstation’s hand-held PSP (as if you needed another reason). Heck, here’s even another reason to love tennis and let’s face it – I love tennis like the next American but couldn’t we all use one more reason to like Tennis?

In this guerrilla marketing tennis court graphics depicting a giant PSP device are placed around the outside of the tennis court, allowing it to appear as if the tennis players are playing inside the giant PSP device. The ad is of course best viewed from the bleacher seats or aerial views above, and if you ask me this PSP guerrilla marketing campaign is an exceptional use of an otherwise blank and unimaginative space.

An extra, fake slab of concrete is then placed on the sidewalk next to the ad, made to look like the gold has just been uncovered.

PLUS, the only trees that are harmed are those that were used to make the direct mail flyers. You’re probably littering all over the place so it’s not really “green” guerrilla marketing, but hey – at least you can argue it’s easy cleanup and you save money on nails, staples or tape.
